With mptime’s automated timesheet submission reminder and routing, this entire process can take as little as a few seconds. Mptime allows you to configure whether an employee should submit timesheets on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or annual basis. Within mptime, this timesheet period determines how often the employee needs to submit timesheet forms for approval; the timesheet period does not have to match the employee’s pay period. As soon as the employee’s timesheet period has elapsed, the system provides a friendly reminder informing the employee that their timesheet form needs to be submitted.
Mptime allows you to establish a path that an employee’s timesheet form will take through the approval process. Up to five (5) users can view and approve a timesheet form. What’s more, if the approver has Internet access, timesheet form approval can occur from anywhere in the world. A timesheet form approver can receive timesheet forms more than once and approval does not have to follow a path of authority. For instance, a timesheet form can be routed to administrative personnel at any time for payroll or billing purposes.
At the completion of the approval process, timesheets can automatically be exported to your Accounting and Human Resource applications for invoicing and payroll purposes. At any time, a timesheet form can be exported to an Excel format timesheet for further sharing, analysis, or formatting.
Timesheet forms can even be routed to an internal or external Project Sponsor. A Project Sponsor can be another employee, a Vendor, or even a Client. As an added benefit, the Project Sponsor does not need to purchase or subscribe to mptime; mptime’s web-based interface allows you to grant limited access to clients for timesheet form approval. Timesheet forms can also be submitted to a Project Sponsor via an Excel format timesheet. Pre-billing approval of timesheet forms by the client helps to reduce erroneous invoices, improve cash flow, and avoid delays associated with invoice re-processing. Project Sponsors also have ad-hoc reporting capabilities, so they can see the status of their project on a minute to minute basis if necessary.
